In a perfect world every fruit and vegetable would be free of harmful pesticides and other bacteria. My family tries very hard to purchase all organic produce but sometimes even purchasing organic does not guarantee that the fruit or vegetable is 100% free of pesticides, wax, and little critters. Below is a natural fruit and vegetable wash recipes that you can easily prepare at home to help wash your produce at home.

What you will need:

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 spray bottle

What you will do:

  • Mix ingredients in a spray bottle
  • Spray vegetables and fruits and rinse thoroughly
  • The lemon is a natural disinfectant and the vinegar neutralizes most pesticides
